Old Barn 2016

Old barns have such character and seem to tell a story on their own. Since I grew up in Iowa there were barns and farms sprinkled across the vast acres of corn, beans, and livestock fields as far as the eye could see.

It was not until recently, I chose to paint these vintage architecture with their charm of years past. Trying to capture their fading essence before Mother Nature had her way with them or their owner’s replaced with a metal pole barn.

Unfortunately, this barn met it’s demise a couple years after I had taken a few snapshots. I am thankful for capturing it on film (shown below) and then painted.
